Joseph Matthew Alwyn (born 21 February 1991) is an English actor.He is best known for his jobs in the films Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk (2016) and The Favourite (2018).

Early life
Brought up in the Crouch End/Tufnell Park area of London, Alwyn is the child of a psychotherapist mother and a narrative producer father. He was instructed at the City of London School. Although a “thoughtful” child, he covertly needed to be an actor. He turned into an individual from the National Youth Theatre in his late teens.While considering English writing and dramatization at the University of Bristol, he acted in two understudy creations at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After graduating in 2012, he finished a BA in acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Vocation
Inside about fourteen days of his alumni grandstand, in mid 2015, Alwyn was cast ahead of the pack job of Ang Lee’s 2016 war drama, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,based on Ben Fountain’s novel. In 2017, he had a supporting job in the British dramatization film The Sense of an Ending.
In 2018, he showed up in the period dramatization films Operation Finale, The Favourite, Boy Erased, and Mary Queen of Scots.
